50/50 Raffle

Here’s your chance to win big for charity with the Royals Charities 50/50 Raffle presented by Edelman & Thompson. Plus, new for 2021, you can enter the raffle during each homestand from the comfort of your own home.

All eligibility rules apply, and online sales are limited to purchase by fans 18+ within the states of Missouri and Kansas. Starting at 9:00 AM CT of each Royals homestand, play from home or at The K by clicking “Play Now” in the photo above. Each raffle will close at the end of the 6th inning of the final game of each homestand, and the winner is announced during the 7th inning at Kauffman Stadium.

In 2020, Royals Charities raised over $85,000 from the proceeds of the 50/50 Raffle to support charities that focus on education, youth baseball/softball, children, and military families across the Kansas City area. Current Jackpot

  • 50/50 Raffle tickets will be sold online beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT on the first day of each homestand. The raffle will remain open online thorough the entire homestand and will close after the last out of the 6th inning during the final game in the homestand.
  • In-stadium raffle tickets will not be sold in 2021. However, 50/50 sellers will be available during each home game to answer any questions and assist in the purchase process.
  • If you are a guest in a suite area needing assistance, please call (816) 504-4050 to request that a 50/50 Raffle seller come to your suite.
  • Tickets are sold at the following rates: 3 for $5, 10 for $10, 80 for $20 or 240 for $40. Prices are subject to change at the discretion of Royals Charities.
  • One winning ticket will be selected in the 7th inning during the last game of each homestand unless otherwise advertised.
  • The winner will win 50 percent of the net proceeds collected that game through the sale of raffle tickets.
  • The remaining proceeds will be donated to Royals Charities to fund grants to support children and military families in the Kansas City area.
  • The winning ticket will be announced during the middle the 7th inning on CrownVision, as well as posted at Royals Charities Headquarters on the main concourse next to the Royals Team Store and posted online at www.royals.com/5050.
  • The winner will be mailed a check within 30 days after claiming his/her prize.
  • The winning ticket should be presented at Royals Charities Headquarters next to the Royals Team Store on the main concourse. If the headquarters is closed or you are not at Kauffman Stadium when the winner is announced, please send an email to 5050@royals.com within 30 days from the raffle date to claim your prize.
  • Royals Charities Headquarters is open when the Stadium gates open though the top of the 9th inning.

Royals Charities, the charitable foundation of the Kansas City Royals, is looking for dependable, enthusiastic, highly-motivated, and hard-working individuals to sell 50/50 Raffle tickets during Royals home games.

The 50/50 Raffle presented by Edelman & Thompson is a charity raffle program whereby tickets are sold throughout the ballpark during every Royals home game. One lucky fan takes home half of the net proceeds from each home game's raffle ticket sales, with the other half benefiting Royals Charities.

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older by start date of employment
  • Have excellent cash handling and customer service skills
  • Be comfortable with technology
  • Be comfortable approaching people and selling in front of crowds
  • Be available to work weekends and some holidays
  • Be comfortable working in inclement weather (Kauffman Stadium is an outdoor ballpark)
  • And understand the timing/pacing of baseball

Program details:

  • Sellers work approximately 3-4 hours per game
  • 81 home games: 70 percent night games/30 percent day games
  • Position is part-time and seasonal (April-October/November)
  • Shirts and vendor aprons provided

  • Unauthorized persons copying, selling, or altering tickets are subject to prosecution.
  • The cash prize will be paid to the winner by check within 30 days of the date the prize is claimed (federal tax withholding may apply).
  • The designated 50/50 Raffle ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming a prize.
  • Prizes will be held and may be claimed up to 30 days after the date of the raffle.
