Join Pirates Charities and Trevor Williams in supporting our neighbors in need during the pandemic. Major League Baseball players teamed up with the Teammates for Kids Foundation and Big League Impact for the Home Plate Project, which combats food insecurity and provides meals to children in our area. Pirates Charities is directing this $30,000 contribution to fund an emergency food distribution with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank on Monday, April 27, providing up to 37,500 meals for families in need in the Pittsburgh region.
Giant Eagle is also showing its support this season by donating $2,500 to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank for every home run that lands on the Giant Eagle sign in center field at PNC Park (minimum $20,000 total donation).
Please join us in supporting the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank as they respond to the need in our community caused by COVID-19. A $20 contribution will purchase one box of emergency food for a family in our area. Donate a box (or more than one) or choose any amount that you are able to give. 100% of contributions will go to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
